Claude Code

Add the Alviss AI MCP server to Claude Code with claude mcp add, sign in with your Alviss AI account through /mcp, and manage or clear authentication.

MCP only works for teams that the Alviss AI staff has enabled it for. See Availability.

Add the Server

Run this in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http alviss https://api.alviss.io/v1/mcp

Use --scope to choose where Claude Code stores the server:

ScopeAvailable inStored in
local (default)The current project, only for you~/.claude.json
userAll your projects~/.claude.json
projectThe current project, for everyone who uses the repository.mcp.json in the project root

For example, to use Alviss AI in all your projects:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user alviss https://api.alviss.io/v1/mcp

Don't pass --client-id, --client-secret or an Authorization header. Claude Code finds the sign-in settings on its own.

  1. Start Claude Code with claude.
  2. Run /mcp.
  3. Select alviss, then select Authenticate.
  1. Your browser opens. Sign in with your Alviss AI account and accept the requested access. See Authentication.
  2. Return to Claude Code. /mcp now shows alviss as connected.

You can also sign in from your shell, without starting a session:

claude mcp login alviss

On a machine without a browser, such as over SSH, claude mcp login alviss prints the sign-in URL. Open it on your own computer. After you sign in, copy the full URL from the browser's address bar and paste it back at the prompt. Connect with ssh -t so the prompt can accept the paste.

Sign Out

  • In Claude Code, run /mcp, select alviss, then select Clear authentication.
  • From your shell, run claude mcp logout alviss.

To remove the server and its stored sign-in:

claude mcp remove alviss
